Terms of Service.

By using Renaiss Index (“the Index”, “we”, “us”), operated by Renaiss at index.renaissos.com, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Index.

The Index is a public reference-price site for collectible trading cards. It currently publishes public market indices for Pokémon, One Piece, and Sports. The catalog also includes other games the site lists as publicly searchable (including Lorcana, Digimon, Riftbound, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Gundam). Coverage is still growing and varies by card. For each card and grade we publish a reference price — computed as the mean, median and volume-weighted average of recorded sales — alongside the trade history behind it and, for indexed games, daily market indices. Prices are built from real, recorded sales across public marketplaces (including Site S, Site A, Mercari, Yahoo! Auctions, eBay JP, and TCGplayer), on-chain marketplaces, partner shops that share quotes or sales with us, PSA population data, and Renaiss-owned transactions. Our methodology describes exactly how each number is calculated.

This is the most important thing to understand about the Index. The prices we publish are informational estimates derived from past sales. They are not offers to buy or sell, not quotes, not appraisals, and not a guarantee of what any card is worth or will sell for. Nothing on the Index is financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Collectible-card values are volatile and our data can be delayed, incomplete or wrong. Always do your own research before buying, selling or relying on any figure here.

You can’t buy or sell anything on the Index — it is purely informational. “View listings” and similar links take you to the separate Renaiss marketplace or to third-party sites, each of which is governed by its own terms. We are not a party to, and not responsible for, any transaction you enter into off the Index.

You can browse the Index without an account. Signing in is optional (Google or Renaiss) and enables signed-in features such as a personal watchlist, collections, and portfolio. Renaiss sign-in is also the path to self-serve API keys after whitelist approval. You’re responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to the sign-in provider you use secure. We may suspend or remove accounts that abuse the service. You can stop using your account and ask us to delete it at any time.

When using the Index, you agree not to:

• use it for any unlawful purpose or in breach of these terms;
• scrape, harvest or bulk-download data except through our documented Public API and within its limits;
• place excessive load on, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site or its systems;
• reverse engineer, or circumvent security or rate limits;
• misrepresent, tamper with, or attempt to manipulate the data or indices; or
• infringe our or anyone else’s intellectual-property or other rights.

The Index is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Much of our data comes from third-party sources we don’t control, so it may be delayed, incomplete or inaccurate, and coverage varies by card. If you spot something wrong, every card page has a one-click way to report a data issue. We may change, add, remove or stop publishing any data, price, index or feature at any time without notice.

The Index’s design, text, and the compiled index and aggregated price data are owned by Renaiss and protected by intellectual-property laws. You may view and use our reference prices for personal, non-commercial reference; any other reuse, including bulk or commercial use, is permitted only through the Public API on its terms, with attribution. Card names, logos and artwork are the property of their respective owners — for example Nintendo and The Pokémon Company for Pokémon, Bandai for the One Piece Card Game, and the rights holders of the other games we cover. We use them only to identify the cards we report on, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them.

The Index links to and aggregates data from independent marketplaces and services. We don’t control them, don’t endorse them, and aren’t responsible for their content, availability, prices or practices. Following any link is at your own risk and subject to that site’s terms.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Index and all data on it are provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We don’t warrant that the Index will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any price or figure is accurate or current.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Renaiss and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or trading or collecting losses, arising out of or relating to your use of — or reliance on — the Index or its data, even if we’ve been advised of the possibility. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the maximum extent the law allows.

We may update the Index and these terms as the service evolves. When we make a material change to these terms, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the Index after a change means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws applicable where Renaiss operates, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts there for any dispute that isn’t resolved informally first.
